Russell Brand has drawn the attention to himself to the police again, this time for disposing of someone else’s iPhone through a window without their permission.
[adsenseyu1]The iPhone in question is reported to have belonged to a member of the paparazzi who was trying to get a quick photo on his mobile.
The incident happened in New Orleans, where Brand is said to be filming an untitled film with ‘Young Adult’ and ‘Juno’director Diablo Cody and the charge of simple criminal damage to property is for the grand total of $700.
And Brand’s response? Via Twitter he said that “Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iPhone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory.”
The celebrity website TMZ has issued pictures of Brand in a dark jacket and torn jeans (of course) yanking the iPhone from someone in a car and also a photo of the broken window through which he purportedly threw the device.
